2008 Smart ForTwo Passion Convertible – 43,650 miles

I'm finally getting around to selling my pride and joy after 6 years of trouble-free ownership. I purchased the car brand new, after speccing and ordering it a year earlier. It’s the convertible version in the “Passion” trim level, in black with a rather striking red fabric interior. Car is in excellent condition - everything works and looks great.

I ordered it with the optional extra electric power steering, the optional fog lamps embedded in the front bumper, and the funky looking additional instruments that protrude up on the central dashboard. Adds a lot to the overall experience, I think. All maintenance is up to date, the most recent service completed last week. All records are available, title in hand, California registered until April 2015. Yeah it's small.Although it's actually bigger than you'd think.A roomy interior, in bright red/orange. More room inside than cars twice its size. And plenty of headroom: The great thing about the Smart convertible is its flexibility. You can open up the roof just a crack for a little added ventilation, roll it back all the way to be fully roofless, or power it even further back dropping the rear window, for a complete open sky experience – and you can do all of this while driving 75 miles an hour! And if you want even more of a real convertible feel you can detach the side roof rails and stow them away in the trunk lid's secret compartment! The main benefit of course is the parking - areas that were formerly only suitable for motorcycles are now roomy playgrounds for the Smart. And with the tightest turning circle of any car sold in America, maneuverability is a breeze.
It's also great when your friends need help moving - they won't ask to borrow your car. Although there's more carrying capacity than you'd expect. All of this was transported along with two people: It's also the ideal road trip car - runs great on small forest roads: And some not so small forests (Northern California redwoods):Snaps giant tree trunks like twigs!
Great for drives up the coast:
And equipped with power that can hold its own against much bigger rivals. (Parked in Alameda last weekend): VIN: WMEEK31X08K109136
